New Release Day

Good morning to you all. Well here we are, Friday again and that means time for a sweet batch of New Release images over at Meljen's Designs. When I say "sweet" I mean it because this week I had to use each and everyone of the new images.  So instead of one project I have three. The pink one features Teddy Bear Cupcake; the blue, Mouse Cupcake and the yellow, Bunny Cupcake. The DP's are from both MME and Authentique.  You will see I used pearls, gems, ribbon, buttons, flowers, die cuts, punches and faux stitching on these cards. The sentiments are all rubber stamps. Oh yeah, and as usual I used Copics to colour with.
So that's it for today. I do hope you will check out what the other Meljen's DT members have come up with and then make a project yourself and share it with us by entering this week's challenge: "Seeing Spots".
So here are my cards:

Card Crafter's Circle - Teddy Bears ( pink card)

*** Seeing Spots!

Hope you're looking forward to a wonderful day. I can't believe it is already the 21st of Feburary! Won't be long now till Winter is over and we'll be seeing the Robins back here in SW Ontario...I love watching out for their arrival. Their song is so cheerful.
Anyway, today I have a card to share with you that I made for the New Challenge over at Meljen's Designs.   Does it make you dizzy? Good! "Cuz we want you ( and us) to see spots! The more spots the better!
For my card I decided to work with Melissa's cute image Party Donkey (available here: ), because I never seem to have enough Birthday cards on hand and he is so darn cute & so much fun to colour. I used several different DP's ( 2 with spots) for the bones of my card. A bit of rick rack ribbon, Baker's Twine, a hand cut penant banner, computer generated sentiment and lots of faux stitiching to finish this card up.
So there you have it! Easy peasy. So now it's your turn to show us your spots; who knows maybe you will be one of Meljen's lucky weekly winners of your choice of one or more of Melissa's wonderful digital images. Looking forward to seeing your work.

Make A Joyful Noise

Well, here we are at the end of another week. Hope it's been a great one for you and that you are looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend. Since it is Friday Melissa has prepared a batch of New Release images over at Meljen's Designs for us all to drool over...really they are that cute! Check them out right here:

For my project I decided upon this one: "Little Birds Song" and since I am so wishing for the arrival of Spring I coloured this little bird to look like a Robin. The DPs are all by 7 Gypsies. The sentiment is computer generated. And, if you've been following my blog at all you would know that I usually finish up my cards with a few buttons & faux stitching. Mostly because I love using both and I have a ton of buttons and stitching is just so easy to do.  Here is a peek at the inside.

                                                                   So that's it for today.
                                                                       Sending hugs,

Napkin Fold Card

Hi there, hope you are having one terrific day. Today I get to share with  you my Meljen's Designs DT project.  Our theme this month is "Inspiration". I hope you will take a stroll over to the Meljen's blog and check out where I get my inspiration.
So, to inspire you, I decided to try a Napkin Fold Card. This is my first attempt at one and though it requires a lot of cutting and folding I really like the end results so I would definitely make another. I got the directions from a great tutorial over at Split Coast Stampers. I've had the DP's for quite a while now so it was good to use them up. They are both by Michael's "Recollections": Aqua Plaid &Grey Mini Dot. I used an edge punch, Spellbinder die, lots of distress ink and some ribbon. The sentiment is a rubber stamp that I've had for quite a while as well. So I'll stop talking for a bit and share some photos with you.

A Friend Loveth At All Times

Good morning, hope you are looking forward to a wonderful day. It's time for some more new releases over at Meljen's Designs and once again Melissa has come up with some great ones. I do hope you will take a few minutes and head over to her site to check them out.
For my card I chose this sweet image "Story Time Boy". This image reminds me so much of my eldest grandson, Braden, with his two best buds (since birth), Bear & Bucko! (Bucko is a blue stuffed dog that looks exactly like this one in the image! Melissa, how do you know these things! You're amazing!).  Anyway, back to my card; I kept it fairly simple, though lots of faux stitching & distress inked edges. The sentiment is by Stampin' Up.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs & K-I-S-S(es)

Time for a new challenge at Meljen's Designs and this week it is "K.I.S.S. ---Keep It Simple Stampers!" Now I have to admit that's a hard one for me because I tend to use lots of different DPs and add lots of embellishments but I tried my best with this card! The image is "Sweet Lips" and you can find it here at the Meljen's Shop . I folder embossed the white cardstock background. Added a strip if dotted dp with a scalloped edge underneath. Two wooden heart buttons and a computer generated sentiment.  No urges to add anything to it so I am actually pleased with how it turned out, lol.
I hope you will join in on the fun at Meljen's ...we love seeing your work.
Hugs & blessings on your day.

Hi there! Hope you're having a great day. Today I have a card to share with you show casing one of the new releases from Melissa over at Meljen's Designs. We had hoped to have these ready for you last Friday but due to these "Nasty Bugs" that everyone has been picking up we are running a little behind. Oh well that's the way life goes. Anyway this image is called "Little Love Bell" and you can find it along with the other new images here at the Meljen's Shop. The DPs I used are MME. Sentiment is by Stampin'Up. Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time sending...

Love You!

Good Morning! I am so glad it's Friday...for some reason it has seemed like a long week. Hope you are looking forward to a nice weekend.
Today is New Release day over at Meljen's Designs and Melissa has once again come up with a bunch of fun images. Make sure you check them out at the Meljen's blog right here:
For my card I decided to use this sweet image"Little Heart Vase". Easy & fun to colour up and believe it or not I actually did this card during my lunch time! It just came together really quickly - I love it when that happens!. The DP's are a mixture; some MME & some Basic Grey. The red strip with pink hearts is Washi tape. The sentiment was done by hand. Did some "faux" stitching around different sections.
Well, that's it for today. Tomorrow my granddaughter, 2 daughters & I hope do have a "Creative Day" together. Hopefully I'll be posting our creations next week.
