Today I have a card to share in which one of the pieces was made from this aluminium can. I like using these tall cans because it gives you a bigger surface to work with. First you clean & dry the pop can. Then using a very strong pair of sissors or tin snips you cut off the top, down the side & cut off the bottom of the can. Be VERY CAREFUL because the edges are VERY SHARP. You will then have a retangular surface to cut from. I used a Spellbinder Nestie die on mine. I then wiped the entire piece with ink, covered it with embossing powder, tap off the excess & then heat embossed it. To attach it to my card I punched holes & used brads. (I haven't found a tape that will cause the aluminium to adhere.). My image is a pre-coloured vintage that I found on line. I also used Spellbinder dies to cut out the flourishes & leaves. The layered flower with brad center & twine are all from my stash. The DP's are by Simple Stories. Well, I guess that's it. So would you like to see my finished card? Here we go...
Just look at these sweet faces...I think these little girls feel so blessed to have recieved a puppy.
Hope you're feeling blessed too.
hugs,
Nancy
