May Birthday

Good Morning to you. Hope you're looking forward to a wonderful day.
The card for today features this cute little Spring Bunny image by Meljen's Designs. Copics were used to colour her & I added a bit of glittery gold to the swirls with a paint pen. I used my Creative Memories shape cutting symtem to cut out the image & it's matting. The 3 side sentiments are digital freebies. Dp is from one of our local Dollar Stores. I attached the sentiments with purple brads from my stash & added a few gems for a bit of "Bling". This card is for someone special so I maked their birthday with another gem stone.
Thanks for stopping by & remember to enjoy today.
hugs,
Nancy

For A Cute Couple

Hope you enjoyed your weekend. They do seem to fly by!
Today's card is my Kaboodle Doodles' DT entry. We would like to see your "3 D Creations". This week's sponsor is "In 2 Stamps" & they are offering 10 euros to their store. I do hope you will share your work with us. I love seeing your creations & maybe you will be our winner this week!
I decided to do an Easel Card & "popped" the flower on the bottom piece to hold the easel up. The cute little bear couple image I used is by In 2 Stamps. Papers are from my stash, as are the brads. Sentiment is computer generated. A spellbinder die was used to cut the layered flower & leaves.
Thanks for stopping by & for your lovely comments.

The 20 Minute Challenge

Our youngest daughter is staying with us for a few days while her bathroom is being remodeled, ( she only has 1 bathroom at her place). Anyway, last evening she decided the two of us should have a quick 20 minute challenge. She gave us each 4 small pieces of paper on which we had to write something that would go on or into a card. We then, with our eyes closed, each pulled out 3 of the now 8 pieces of paper. This gave us the 6 challenge elements we had to use on our cards. We then had 20 mintues to complete it. My husband was to be the judge, poor guy! Anyway we had to use 2 printed papers, 2 embellishmnets, a diecut, a brad, a circle & a stamp.
Well, my daughter ended up asking for an extra 10 minutes, but, in the end I still won simply because she forgot to use a diecut. What a blessing for my husband, lol.
So here is my 20 minute card.

Here is a link to Jasmine's finished card.I'm so glad she was disqualified because her card turned out so lovely I know she would have won.

It was spur of the moment & fun. We'll have to try this again, real soon.

Nancy

A Couple Of Progressive Challenge Cards

My first card features the image by McMahon Five Designs. I coloured it up with my Copics. DPs are by Authentique. Used a Spellbinder die, circle & corner punches on this design, Added a few brads & inked the edges. Sentiment is computer generated.

Challenges:

My second card is also for the Progressive challenge but this one features the image by Just Some Lines. Again I used Copics to colour the image. I tried the "Clean & Simple" approach for this card, which is very hard for me because I love embellishments. DPs are MME. Sentiment is computer generated.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

CDACPC 16 Progressive Challenge

Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. It's actually a lovely Spring Day here, lots of sunshine. My card today features one of the images provided to us by the talented artists in this round of the progressive challenge at CDAC. Nana Vic is the artist of this lovely bird cage. After colouring with Copics  I tried using Flock on the flowers. I can see that it is a look I will like once I get a bit more practice with it. After the Flock dried I add a bit of shading with my Copics & some glitter glue. I used a gold paint pen to go over all the scroll work. Papers are MME & I used a Spellbonder die to cut out the image & it's matting. I also inked all the edges.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.

Nancy

Birthday Wishes

Thanks for stopping by.
My card for today features a cute little Fairy by the oh so talented Mo Manning. I think she was one of the first images I bought from Mo. As you can see I used several Spellbinder dies to cut out the ovals, leaves & flowers. I actually accordian folded a long strip of paper ( to give it a lace look) & attached it behind the plaid strip, but after I added all the flowers & ribbon I see it kinda got covered up. Oh well, I'll be more careful next time, cuz' I'm not taking it apart now, lol! I used a gold paint pen for the stars on her dress & glitter glue on the bubbles. Papers, brads & ribbon are from my stash. Sentiment is a rubber stamp.

Thank you for becomig a follower & all of your kind comments.

April Showers

We could actually use some April Showers, but I'm afraid if we get any precipitation it might be snow! It has been very cold & windy here in SW Ontario.
Anyway on to my card. This one features one of the adorable images by Saturated Canary. These images are just so cute...I think it's the "Doe Eyes" that get me. I used Copics to colour her. The DP's are by Authentique "Loyal Collection". This is a new line of papers for me & I have to say I'm loving it!  The sentiment & umbrella are digital freebies. Added a bit of twine & a couple of brads to finish this card off.
Blessings to you all,
Nancy

"Angels Watching Over You"

Good Monday morning to you all. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. My card for today is my Kaboodle Doodles DT project. This week we would like you to "Emboss It!". Heat or dry or a combination of both...it's up to you! Our sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies and you could be the lucky winner of a $12 voucher to their store - wouldn't that be fun & exciting?
For my card I choose this sweet image. It was so easy & fun to colour up with my Copics. After I coloured it I scanned it and cut out the cloud. I folder embossed the cloud & attached it with foam squares. I added a bit of glitter glue to it also. For the main image, after I cut it out with my new SB grand die, I positioned it quite a few times in another embossing folder & embossed it around the coloured image. I cut & embossed all the flowers, leaves & flouishes from assorted SB dies. The star stick pins were one of the great buys I got at Scrapfest. Added a glittery bow to finish it off.
Hope you'll take the time & enter one of your beautiful creations - we'd love to see it.

hugs, Nancy

I'm Late

Good Morning. Hope you are looking forward to a wonderful day. Today's card features an image by Mo Manning that I just love, though I have to admit I love all of her images, lol! This little guy is so fun to colour up. I've used him dozens of times...I've even waited to send a birthday greeting (late on purpose!)so that I could use him! My DP's are by MME. The clocks are digital freebies. Added a bit of twine & lots of real stitiching.
That's it for today.

I used lots of real stitching. My DP's are MME "Six by Six", All Spice. The layered flower is from Michael's. The brads & button are from my stash. Sentiment is a digital freebie.

On Your Way

Happy Tuesday to you, though I feel like it should be Friday! I guess all the walking on the weekend took it's toll.
While at Scrapfest I was blessed to find a fanastic deal. I got 2 never used Grand Calibur Dies, (the big ones), for $22.50 each. That's cheaper than the regular sized GC dies. The lady said she just wanted to move product out of her store. Needless to say I was giddy with excitement.
Now on to my card. For this one I used one of Mo mannings adorable images. (You should check out her store , she has a whole bunch of new images). My DP's are MME. Added some twine & buttons to complete this project. No sentiment yet because I'm not sure if it will be a Goodbye, Retirement or Graduation card.

Sometimes You Just Need Cake

Good Morning! Sorry about posting this a little later than usual. I had a very busy weekend with my 2 daughters & lovely granddaughter. We headed off to Kitchener to do some serious shopping at Scrapfest. Then we went to St. Jacob's to visit (and shop) at both the market & the quaint little shops there. Booked into our motel & then went off in search of food & did a little more shopping. Sunday we went to the early service at Lakeside Church & then headed home, stopping in London for lunch (at a little place called"Relish" - best burger I've ever had!) & just a bit more shopping. All around it was a wonderfully fun weekend.
So now on to my card. This week at Kaboodle Doodles we would like to challenge you with a "Card Recipe". We want you to use:
1 Button
2 Patterened Papers
3 Differents Colours
Our sponsor this week is Di'd Digi Downloads and if your card is the chosen one you could win a $10 voucher to Di's store.
For my card I used Di's sweet "Cherry Cake" image. I coloured it up with my Copic Markers. My colour choices were peach, aqua & a browny green. My 2 DP's are by MME. The antique button was in a jar of old buttons given to me by a lovely lady at church, thanks Mary. I folder embossed the cardstock pieces, hand cut the banner, used a couple of staples & a few gems for some bling. The sentiment is a free digi that I punched out with a square punch.
Well, that's it. Hope you'll play along with us.

Welcome Little One

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. My 2 sweet daughters & beautiful granddaughter are taking me to Scrapfest today, so I am sure we will be having a great day.
My card for today features yet another of the sweet images provided to us in the Progressive Challenge over at CDAC. Mammi Doodles is the creator of this cutie. I used the sketch from Fetch A Sketch to design this card. I just love sketches, to me they make the whole process so much easier. Everything on this card is from my leftover stash boxes.Yes, I have boxes of leftover stuff, so I like to use bits & pieces from them whenever I can,( makes my hubby happy also). The sentiment is by Stampin'Up. I used a lot of real stitching on this card. Practice makes perfect & as you can see by my wobbly lines, I need all the pratice I can get!
Well, that's it for today.
hugs to all,
Nancy

Make A Wish!

Good Morning. Hope you are looking forward to a wonderful day.
For this card I used another one of the images for the Progressive Challenge at CDAC. This image, by TLC Creations, is nearly the same as the other one except that the bear is holding a cupcake instead of a flower. Quick & easy to colour up with my Copics. Again I added real buttons at his arms & legs. Lots of dry embossing & Spellbinder dies used on this one. Papers are MME. I also inked the edges a bit to give a distressed look. Leaves, flowers & sentiment have foam adhesive squares to lift them off the page a bit.

Until next time.

New Life

Happy Monday morning to you. Hope you had a Blessed Easter weekend. My card for today is my DT card for the Kaboodle Doodles challenge "New Life". I chose to express this theme by featuring a litter of kittens & flowers, both signs of Spring, which in itself is new life. The image is by Meljen's Designs. The papers, flowers & ribbon are from my stash. I used a scalloped punch & Spellbinder die to cut out the shapes. Sentiment is a digital freebie. Hope you will take the time to create a project expressing this theme & then share it with us at Kaboodle Doodles. We love to see your work & maybe you will win this week's prize, which is a voucher to Digital Delights.

I am actually having an Easter Egg Hunt with my grandkids today since they were away for the weekend visiting their other greandparents. It's kind of fun to spread the festivities out a bit so they can really enjoy each event rather than try to cram everything into one day. I know they are really looking forward to the hunt.  Hopefully I'll get some good pictures for scrapbooking.
Until next time,
Nancy

Thinking of You

Good afternoon. Hope you are having a wonderful day. My card  for today features an image by Saturated Canary. Isn't she adorable with her cute little bunny. I have just fallen in love with these sweet images. They are so fun & easy to colour up with my Copics. The 3 DP's I used are by MME. I even used one of them to make the rolled flower by adhering it gold coloured cardstock & then sending it thru my Grand Caliber with a Spellbinder die. I also used SB dies to cut out the image, it's matting, the leaves & flourishes. Sentiment is a rubber stamp. The cute little brad is also MME. I added a bit of real stitching to bring it all together.
Here is another angle:

Well, that's it for today.
Praying you will have a Blessed Easter Weekend. Hope you get to church.

Spring

Over at "Mo's Digital Pencil Too" the challenge is "Photo Inspired", & this is my take on it. The digital image is of course one of Mo's delightful creations. I coloured her with Copic Markers. As I'm typing this I realised that I didn't use any Dp, just cardstock, some of which I folder embossed. I used several punches & Spellbinder dies to add a bit of character to my card. The flowers, bows, brads & paperclip center are all from my stash.
Hope your mid week is going well.

Happy Birthday

Hope you are having a fanastic Tuesday. This is has been a very exciting week for me! First, at our school there was Crop (I couldn't attend because I was working), anyway, one of the venders was selling her Tim Holtz's distress inks for $2 each! Well, needless to say I bought a few, actually quite a few, lol. Also, my husband & I enjoyed celebrating our 26th anniversary by going out for supper Saturday night & then for breakfast on Monday ( the actual day of our anniversary). I love, love, love going out for breakfast...it just seems to make the whole day go better.
Then, I found out that I won a mystery prize at the up coming Scrapfest in Kitchener, Ontario. I won't know what it is until I get there, oh the suspense!!! Finally, last night I discovered that 2 of my cards had won in 2 different challenges. At Meljen's Designs ( http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.ca/2012/04/winners-challenge-102-no-color.html) I won 2 digitals of my choice. At Prickley Pear ( http://www.prickleypearrubberstamps.blogspot.ca/2012/04/sketch-challenge-winner.html ) I won a $15 gift certificate to their store! Now, if that isn't exciting I don't know what is! I do hope you enter challenges not only to win a prize, but to share your beautiful work  & give inspiration to others.
Anyway, all that said let's get on to my card for today. (Sorry my scan turned out a bit dark in the one corner). This sweet image is by Melissa Jenkins at Meljen's Design's. Isn't he a cutie! I coloured him up with my Copic markers. My Dp s are by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is computer generated. Added some folder embossing to the background papers, lots of stitching & a few random buttons.
Whew, that was a mouthful, hope I did ramble on to long.

Spring Easel Card

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was busy but nice. My card for today is my Kaboodle Doodles' DT card. Our challenge this week is "Anything But A Rectangle". Sure hope you'll join in on the fun. Our sponsor  is the "Stamping Boutique" & you could be the winner of 3 of their great images. For my card I decided on an oval Easel Card. I cut the base using my Creative Memories cutting system & the large oval template. I then cut the different layers of the card using the different sizes of the templates. The Stamping Boutique image was fun to colour up with my Copics. I cut the flourishes, leaves & flowers using an assortment of Spellbinder dies in my Grand Caliber.  The Dps are by MME. Some of the flower layers I also folder embossed, just to add a bit of texture to the card. The brads in the center of the flowers & ribbon are from my leftover stash. The scripture sentiment is by Stampin'up. I added some faux stitching & used foam dots to attach the flowers. I love ease cards & am quite pleased with how this turned out. Here is a close up of the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope your day includes something to smile about.
